FAQ's

How long does the process take?

Each design is different and can take different times to finish. The Whimsy Goblin also does Vending Events so their schedule can be a factor in creation times. The average time frame is 1 to 4 months. Rush orders are available upon request.

How should I measure?

When doing a measurement for any form fitting items it is advised that you wear form fitting clothes, this will allow for a more accurate measurement. For items that are worn over something, such as armor with padding, wear the padding then take the measurements. For items that you want to fit something, such as a book bag for a specific bag, measure the item by LxHxW. More detailed instruction are available as needed/requested.

What is the cost?

The price is entirely dependent on design and the amount and nature of the embellishments. The scale of the project, along with the materials chosen, determine the cost. The Whimsy Goblin often creates mid-ranged priced items.

Can I order one of your existing styles exactly as is?

Yes and no, you can order something similar to previously made work, however since many elements are hand crafted and ordered as needed the exact embellishments might not be able to be recreated. Some items are also One of a Kinds, where the rights to that exact item have been retained by the buyer. Having said that we love designing something unique and new every time, even if that's just changing up the color scheme or embellishments a little. Thats why we prefer to see our page as a portfolio of inspiration to build upon.

How does the process work?

The process is designed to be simple and relaxing. Most orders are done online through messaging here, on my Facebook page or through email. Video calls are available, but an email with details discussed will be sent afterwards to make sure all details are correct. In person meets up are also available for those that live within an hour of Muskegon, MI. This in person meeting will be done in a public space, often a coffee shop. The process is collaborative, but you can also just leave things in our hands. Please refer also to this page.
